The course

Creative electronics was the second homologation course I took part in during my Masters.

This course was meant as a foundation for my future development in the area of technology & realization.

The elective was built from several components: weekly quizzes to assess the knowledge of the lectures, practical assignments in teams and a mini project on the basis of the knowledge gained during the course. All these elements were later summarized in a report.

While the quizzes were individual assignments, the practical lessons and final project were conducted in groups of two.

The final outcome of the project was an egg timer which displays our knowledge in electronics and coding.

The timer

The timer was started by pushing the button of the desired cooking time. When this happened, the left LED turned on. When the time was running out, the right LED started blinking and a buzzer went off. The alarm could then be turned off by touching the capacitive sensing area.

This device illustrated the skills we gained and that we were able to implement them in a functioning product.
